International Relations

International Relations (IR) is the study of the interactions and relationships between sovereign states, international organizations, non-governmental organizations, and other global actors. It encompasses a wide range of issues such as diplomacy, conflict, trade, human rights, environmental concerns, and security. The field examines how states and entities communicate, negotiate, and cooperate with one another to address mutual interests and global challenges. It also explores the impact of international norms, laws, and institutions on inter-state behavior and global governance. International Relations draws on various disciplines, including political science, history, economics, and sociology, to analyze and understand the dynamics of power, influence, and international order. Theoretical frameworks in IR, such as realism, liberalism, constructivism, and critical theory, help scholars and practitioners interpret global events and guide policy-making. Overall, International Relations seeks to explain how the world functions at a transnational level and the factors that shape international cooperation and conflict.
